It is officially fall, and I’m loving it! It’s actually been cool enough these last few evenings that I’ve needed a jacket. Sadly, it’s still not cool during the day. Sigh. Oh well, that’s why God created four seasons! At the end of summer, I start wearing short sleeves with cardigans and lightweight jackets, but it’s time to put those tops away and go with something a little weightier. I love this top with the lace sleeves. It’s essentially a very casual silhouette, but the detailing of the sleeves really elevates it. I’d wear this with jeans and sneakers or pair it with some winter white pants and a bold necklace, and BOOM. It comes in over 30 colors if you’re not a fan of the black, and it’s very affordable!

What a beautiful color for fall! Before you gurls who hate yellow yell at me, lol; you should know it also comes in black, white, red, orange, and a host of others. This is a basic that everyone needs in their closet. A black bodysuit is a great staple. It looks chic and elegant by itself, but the big benefit is that it’s a terrific base layer to build upon. Wear it with a blazer, under a vest, or with a denim jacket – the options are limitless!

I’m a sucker for dark green! This chiffon top is chock full of details. I love the pintuck pleats, the ruffle neck, and the smocked sleeves. If you don’t love the color as much as I do, never fear. For those who want to look chic but casual, this knot top by Bobeau is perfect! Basic doesn’t have to be boring! The charcoal looks great, but it also comes in grey and chocolate. I like it paired with jeans, but I could also see this with soft leggings for a day of lounging.
