•    The Patriot League Tournament begins with No. 5 Navy (17-8 / 9-7) playing at No. 4 Bucknell (15-10 / 11-5) Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Lewisburg, Pa., in a quarterfinal round match.
•    The teams split the regular season series with Navy winning in five sets in Annapolis and Bucknell winning in four sets in Lewisburg.

Tournament Notes
•    Navy is in the Patriot League Tournament for the seventh-straight non-COVID shortened season.
•    The Mids have reached at least the semifinal round of the tournament in each of the last six non-COVID shortened seasons, which includes title match appearances in 2017 (champions), 2018 and 2022.
•    Since the field was expanded to six teams starting in 2019, Navy has posted a 3-0 record in the quarterfinal round of the event.  
•    Navy has posted a 6-3 record in the tournament under head coach Paco Labrador.  
•    The Mids have compiled an 18-21 record overall in the tournament.  Navy has advanced to the championship match of five tournaments, including last season.  
•    Navy’s lone championship came in 2018 in Labrador’s first season.
•    The winner of Tuesday’s match advances to the semifinal round Friday at Colgate.  Pairings for that day against No. 1 Colgate and No. 2 Army are dependent upon the results of the Navy-Bucknell and No. 6 Loyola at No. 3 American match.  
•    The championship match will be played Sunday.

Four Mids Earn All-League Honors
•    The Patriot League bestowed all-league accolades on four Mids Monday
•    Jordan Llewellyn earned first-team honors after being named to the league’s second team in 2022.
•    Llewellyn ranks second in the league in kills during the league campaign (3.63 kps) and fourth in aces (0.40 saps).  She produced 10 or more kills in 17 matches, 20 or more kills in four matches, at least 10 digs in 10 matches and seven double-doubles.  Her overall aces average (0.44 saps) ranks 53rd nationally.
•    Jamie Llewellyn received second-team accolades this season.  It is her first postseason award from the league.
•    Llewellyn stands eighth in the league in kills during the league season (2.92 kps) and ranks ninth in the league overall for aces (0.34 saps).  She notched 10 or more kills in 18 matches, 11 matches with 10 or more digs and seven double-doubles. 
•    Anna Klemeyer earns second-team honors, her first from the league.  She ranks among the league leaders in hitting percentage for both the full season (.359 / third) and within league play (.363 / second).  Her season-long average ranks 74th nationally.
•    Averi Miller repeats as a second-team all-league recipient.
•    She ranks third in the league overall in assists (9.09 aps) and fourth during the league season (8.73 aps).  Miller has snared 10 or more digs in 10 matches this year.

•    Navy closed the regular season by posting a pair of victories in Annapolis.

November 9 • Annapolis, Md. / Navy 3, Lehigh 1 (30-28, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16)
•     Navy’s offense totaled 62 kills and a .207 hitting percentage and its defense limited Lehigh to 52 kills and a .186 hitting effort.
•    Hannah Hoover grabbed 29 digs.
•    Jordan Llewellyn finished with 22 kills, 15 digs and three blocks.

November 11 • Annapolis, Md. / Navy 3, Army 2 (16-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-12)
•     Army took a 2-0 lead in sets after outhitting Navy, .288-.070.
•    The Mids won set three, then trailed 16-11 in set four.  The score was tied at 18-18 when the Mids took leads of 20-18 and 23-20.
•    Navy led, 11-5, in set five, but Army tied the score at 11-11.  After an exchange of sideouts made the score 12-12, kills from Paige Buzzerio and Anna Klemeyer took Navy to match point.  A kill from setter Averi Miller closed out the match.
•    The Mids outhit the Black Knights, .203-.116, in the last three sets.
•    Jordan Llewellyn posted 19 kills, 11 digs and three blocks.
•    Averi Miller tallied 38 assists and shared the team lead with 18 digs.

Bucknell Preview
•    The Bison had their eight-match winning streak come to a close with a three-set loss to American on Saturday. 
•    Bucknell has won its last six home matches and ended the regular season with a 6-3 record in league matches played in Lewisburg.

Series History
•    Navy holds a 39-24 lead in the all-time series with Bucknell.  The Mids have an 18-12 advantage in matches played in Lewisburg.
•    Navy has tallied a 3-1 record against Bucknell in the tournament.  The Mids defeated the Bison in both a first round and third-place match in the 1993 tournament, the Bison won in the first round of the 1994 tourney and Navy won in the semifinal round in 1996.

Miller Surpasses 2,700 Career Assists
•     A year ago, Averi Miller became the ninth Mid during the rally scoring era and 13th Navy setter since 1994 (when statistics became available) to surpass 1,000 career assists.
•    This season, she became the seventh Mid overall and fourth during the rally scoring era to reach 2,000 career helpers.  Miller became the fifth Mid overall and second in the rally scoring era to hand out 2,500 assists when she surpassed the milestone Oct. 18 vs. Loyola.
•    The current senior was limited to just 69 assists as a freshman when Navy played only five matches during the 2020/21 spring COVID season.
