Call for Community Service
Mercer County Library invites all to participate in a 9/11 Day of Service project to support the community. Stop in on Monday, September 11, during regular operating hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., to create unique toys for sheltered animals, using sanitized, repurposed plushies from Glad Dogs Nation.
Sewing experience not required. Kids as young as 5 (with adult assistance) can participate. Stitches don’t have to be perfect. Finished toys will be donated to Doing Right by Rescues, ensuring toys are distributed to animals in need. All supplies provided. The library is located at 245 Pennington-Titusville Road, Pennington. Call for Auditions
Kelsey Theater on the West Windsor campus of Mercer County Community College is holding auditions for two upcoming productions.
Auditions for “On Golden Pond” take place Wednesday, September 6, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, September 9, from 2 to 6 p.m., with callbacks by invitation on Sunday, September 10, from 3 to 5 p.m. Performances are Fridays through Sundays, November 3 through 12, and Wednesday, November 8.
Auditions will be held at the theater at 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. Please prepare a 1 to 2-minute monologue. You may be asked to do readings taken from the scripts provided (2nd Revision). Provide a head shot and resume.

Roles are open to performers of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, ages and abilities. Roles to be cast are two women, three men, and one boy, age 12 to 15.
Kelsey is also casting for “Legally Blonde the Musical Jr.,” with performances Friday through Sunday, January 12 through 14, 2024.

Trenton’s Passage Theatre Company is casting for the its upcoming world premiere play, “Ghetto Gods in Divineland.” The play is having a developmental workshop in October. Set to the vibe, energy, and music of Trenton’s own @thepoorrighteousteachers, “Ghetto Gods in Divineland” tells the story of the unheard community of Divineland and how far its residents will go for representation and reclamation of their resources.
Passage will be seeing equity and non-equity auditions in-person in Trenton on Tuesday and Thursday, September 12 and 14; New York City, Friday, September 15; and Philadelphia, Tuesday, September 19; and also accepting self-tape submissions for the following roles:
- Gekiyla (Black – Female – mid/late 20s)
- Ameen (Black – Male – mid/early 20s)
- Papi Shh (Indigenous, Black, Latinx, or Non-White Immigrant — Any Gender — should look young, but is older than America)
- Ghetto God 1 (Black, Black Caribbean, African, or Latinx — any gender — 30s or older preferred)
- Ghetto God 2 (Black — any gender — 30s or older preferred)
