•    Navy travels to Hamilton, N.Y., this weekend for the Patriot League Tournament semifinals and finals being hosted by Colgate.
•    No. 5 Navy (18-8) will play No. 1 Colgate (20-7), Friday at 7 p.m. in the second of two semifinal round matches.
•    The opening match of the day (3 p.m.) features No. 3 American (19-10) playing No. 2 Army (14-11).
•    The two semifinal winners will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. in the championship match.

Tournament Notes
•    Navy is in the Patriot League Tournament for the seventh-straight non-COVID shortened season.
•    The Mids have compiled a 19-21 record overall in the tournament.  Navy has advanced to the championship match of five tournaments, including last season.  
•    Since the field was expanded to six teams starting in 2019, Navy has posted a 4-0 record in the quarterfinal round of the event.  
•    Navy’s record in the semifinal round of the tournament is 5-11.
•    Navy has posted a 7-3 record in the tournament under head coach Paco Labrador.  
•    The Mids have tallied a 2-2 record in the semifinal round under Labrador.
•    Navy’s lone championship came in 2018 in Labrador’s first season.
•    The Mids are the only team to reach at least the semifinal round of the tournament in each of the last seven non-COVID shortened seasons, which includes title match appearances in 2017 (champions), 2018 and 2022.

Four Mids Earn All-League Honors
•    The Patriot League bestowed all-league accolades on four Mids Monday.
•    Jordan Llewellyn earned first-team honors after being named to the league’s second team in 2022.
•    Through the end of the regular season, Llewellyn ranked second in the league in kills during the league campaign (3.63 kps) and fourth in aces (0.40 saps).  She produced 10 or more kills in 17 matches, 20 or more kills in four matches, at least 10 digs in 10 matches and seven double-doubles.  Her overall aces average (0.44 saps) ranks 53rd nationally.
•    Jamie Llewellyn received second-team accolades this season.  It is her first postseason award from the league.
•    Llewellyn stood eighth in the league in kills during the league season (2.92 kps) and ranked ninth in the league overall for aces (0.34 saps).  She notched 10 or more kills in 18 matches, 11 matches with 10 or more digs and seven double-doubles. 
•    Anna Klemeyer earns second-team honors, her first from the league.  She ranked among the league leaders in hitting percentage for both the full season (.359 / third) and within league play (.363 / second).  Her season-long average ranked 74th nationally.
•    Averi Miller repeats as a second-team all-league recipient.
•    She ranked third in the league overall in assists (9.09 aps) and fourth during the league season (8.73 aps).  Miller snared 10 or more digs in 10 matches this year.

Klemeyer Named to League Academic Team
•    Anna Klemeyer was named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team on Thursday.
•    The senior computer science major carries a 3.93 cumulative GPA.
•    This is the second year in a row in which she has earned placement onto the academic squad.

Last Match
•    Navy advanced to the semifinal round of the Patriot League Tournament with a 3-0 win at Bucknell in the quarterfinal round.

November 14 • Lewisburg, Pa. / Navy 3, Bucknell 0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23)
•     Set one featured 19 ties and 11 lead changes.  The largest lead for either team was two points.
•    The score was tied at 22 when a Bucknell attack error and a Navy block took the Mids to set point.  A service error by Navy extended the set, but an Anna Klemeyer kill ended the frame.
•    The score was tied at 11 before a slight run gave the Mids a small lead they would not relinquish.
•    The Mids took a 10-7 lead only to see the Bison take a 14-12 advantage.  Bucknell soon took leads of three points at 16-13 and 17-14 before opening up a 20-15 advantage.  The Bison soon led, 21-17 and then 22-19, at which point Labrador called timeout.
•    Navy tied the score at 22, then Bucknell took a lead on a kill.  Three-straight Navy kills ended the match.
•    Averi Miller tallied 21 assists, a career-high tying eight kills and eight digs.  Jamie Llewellyn recorded 10 kills and six digs.  Jordan Llewellyn posted 12 digs, eight kills and three blocks.

Colgate Preview
•    Colgate earned the top seed in this year’s tournament after posting a 13-3 record in league play.  The Raiders enter the semifinal round with a 20-7 record on the overall season and have won their last three matches.

Series History
•    Colgate holds a 47-18 lead in the all-time series with Navy.  The Raiders have an 25-5 advantage in matches played in Hamilton.
•    The teams have met in the league tournament seven times, with the Raiders winning all seven matches.  This includes a 3-0 record for Colgate in tournament matches played in Hamilton.
•    The teams last met in the 2022 tournament.  Colgate won the first two sets in the championship match between the teams, then Navy won sets three and four.  The Raiders would prevail in the fifth set.
•    That was the first of three-straight five-set matches between the teams as both matches this season went the distance.
•    The teams have played 16 matches and 66 sets against each other since the 2016 season.  Of those 66 sets, 21 have been decided by two points (32%), six have been determined by three points and 39 have been decided by no more than five points (59%).

Army Preview
•    Army tied for second place in the regular season and earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
•    The Black Knights received a quarterfinal round bye.
•    Army dropped two of its last three regular season matches, with the Mids defeating the Black Knights in five sets in the regular season finale that also served as the Star Match between the teams.

Series History
•    Army holds a 53-21 lead in the all-time series with Navy.    The teams have split the four previous neutral site matches.
•    Navy leads, 3-2, in Patriot League tournament matches.   Most recently, Navy won a 3-2 decision over Army in the semifinal round of the 2022 league tournament in a match played at Colgate.  That gave the Mids a 2-1 edge in league tournament neutral site matches.
•    The teams have split the 12 matches with Navy head coach Paco Labrador on the sidelines.  
•    Five of the last 10 (since 2019) and nine of the last 19 matches (since 2015) played between the teams have been extended to five sets.

American Preview
•    American shared second place in the league regular season standings and garnered the No. 3 seed in the tournament with an 11-5 record.  The Eagles improved their overall record on the year to 19-10 with a 3-0 win over No. 6 Loyola Tuesday night.
•    American has won eight of its last nine matches, with the lone blemish in that span being a five-set loss to Army on Nov. 4.

Series History
•    American leads the all-time series with Navy, 54-19-1.  The Mids hold a 4-2-1 lead in neutral site matches against the Eagles.
•    American holds a 5-2 advantage in league tournament matches between the teams. The Mids defeated the Eagles in four sets in the quarterfinal round of the 2022 tournament in Annapolis.
•    The teams have not played a neutral site tournament match.
•    Six of Navy’s wins against American since the Eagles joined the Patriot League in 2001 have come with Paco Labrador on the sidelines (6-9 overall, 2-1 in tournament matches).  His first victory in the series came in the championship match of the 2018 league tournament.

Miller Surpasses 2,700 Career Assists
•     A year ago, Averi Miller became the ninth Mid during the rally scoring era and 13th Navy setter since 1994 (when statistics became available) to surpass 1,000 career assists.
•    This season, she became the seventh Mid overall and fourth during the rally scoring era to reach 2,000 career helpers.  Miller became the fifth Mid overall and second in the rally scoring era to hand out 2,500 assists when she surpassed the milestone Oct. 18 vs. Loyola.
•    The current senior was limited to just 69 assists as a freshman when Navy played only five matches during the 2020/21 spring COVID season.

Navy Siblings
•     There have been five sets of siblings to play for the Navy volleyball team.
•     Jamie and Jordan Llewellyn form the first set of twins to play on the team and, in 2020/21, became the first siblings to be on the team at the same time.  An older Llewellyn sibling, Lindsay, graduated from Navy in 2023 and was a member of the women’s basketball team.
