As the country celebrated the Fourth of July, a South Carolina woman celebrated something most people will never see: 111 years of life. Miss Jenni Tucker, a lifelong resident of Anderson, was surrounded by family and friends to mark the occasion as they did last year when she turned 110.They spoke to WYFF News 4 Photojournalist Paul Brown about her long life and continued strength.Miss Jenni’s pastor at Wilson Calvary Baptist Church Rev. James C. Clark described her birthday as a gift.”The Good Book says that we’re promised 70 years, and by reason of strength – four (more) and beyond that, it’s nothing but Grace,” Clark said. “Mother Tucker here is a recipient of greater Grace to be 111 years old.””She’s an amazing woman,” Tucker’s niece, Priscilla Stewart, said. Stewart has cared for her auntie for the last 22 years.She shared stories of Miss Jenni, who she said loved to drive fast in her Camaro. Watch video below to hear her stories.Another person who has been with Tucker for decades is Chris Pracht.Tucker cared for him when he was a baby in 1954, and now he helps and cares for her and says he is “blessed” to do so. “And I hope we have given (her) a tenth of what she has given us,” he said.Happy birthday, Miss Jenni, from everyone at WYFF News 4.
